The Pennsylvania office of Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., hosted its 3rd Annual Economic Development Symposium on April 30 at the Renaissance Allentown. Norris McLaughlin attorneys John Lushis and Graham Simmons, along with Scott Dunkelberger, Executive Director of the Center for Business Financing, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, and Don Cunningham, President and CEO of the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp. (LVEDC), discussed the current and future focus of economic development in Pennsylvania, highlighting the practice of working with economic development incentives.

“We were very pleased to present our third annual economic development symposium in concert with Scott Dunkleberger, who provided unique insight into Governor Wolf’s plans to catalyze economic development in the Lehigh Valley region. Also, Don Cunningham provided his organization’s revamped mission for deployment of its investment dollars on a regional and national platform,” said Lushis, Co-Chair of the Economic Development Practice Group at Norris McLaughlin.

“Forums like this one provide excellent opportunities for public and private sector leaders to learn about Governor Tom Wolf’s bold proposals to create a pro-business climate in Pennsylvania and reaffirm the administration’s commitment to economic development,” said Dunkelberger.

“”LVEDC is a coalition organization, and one of our principles is to tell our economic story to increase awareness, both inside and outside our region, of the economic assets, advantages and strengths of the Lehigh Valley. Events like this one are essential to fulfilling that purpose and ultimately put us in a better position to help businesses come, grow and start here,” Cunningham said.
